What is the school’s mission?
The Main Street Academy (TMSA) in partnership with EdisonLearning, a leading provider of Educational services, upholds a uniquely administered rigorous academic curriculum. The Main Street Academy was created by a dedicated group of concerned citizens, who live and work in the Tri-Cities area. The Main Street Academy embraces and reflects the diversity of the communities it serves, while contributing to the academic, cultural, and social fabric of the region.

Where is the school located?
We are located in College Park, GA. Our Lower Academy is located at 3480 E. Main St., College Park and our Upper Academy is located at 1805 Harvard Ave., College Park.

What is a charter school?
Charter schools are innovative public schools that are accountable for student results. Charter
Schools are designed to deliver programs tailored to educational excellence and the needs of the communities they serve.  The Main Street Academy charter school was approved by the Fulton County Board of Education in 2009.

Why Choose a Charter School?
Charter schools are free public schools with greater flexibility to respond to its students’ individual needs. Charter schools have certified teachers, challenging academics, and performance-based accountability measures, which are often greater than those at traditional schools.

Can anyone enroll?
Yes! The Main Street Academy is open to students in grades K-8 who reside in Fulton County.

Is there an entrance exam?

Is there tuition?
No, The Main Street Academy is tuition-free.

What is the length of the school year?
The Main Street Academy follows the Fulton County Schools (FCS) school calendar.

What are the hours of school?
School hours are Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Are there enrichment courses?
Yes! The school offers electives including Spanish, art and music.

Is there an English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for non- and limited-English speaking students?
Yes! The Main Street Academy provides an ESL program.

Can the school accommodate children with special needs?
Yes! EdisonLearning utilizes the inclusion model for teaching students with special needs. This allows students with special needs to learn alongside their peers whenever possible.

Is there a uniform policy?
Yes. Our uniform policy is available at the time of enrollment.

Are there after-school programs?
Yes. Organized activities include team and individualized sports and academic and artistic activities.

Is transportation available to students?
No, TMSA does not provide transportation. Carpools, walking and/or riding bicycles is encouraged.

Are hot lunches available?
Yes! TMSA offers students a healthy, hot lunch program.
